UK rockers Of Allies have unveiled their stunning cover of classic track, titled “In The Air Tonight”.
The band's vocalist Rich comments:
“I think Phil Collins is one of the best British songwriters of all time. I've always loved 'In the Air Tonight' and remember hearing it vividly as a child. Something about the general vibe and ambience of the song always stuck with me.I love everything about it from a songwriters point of view, it has the structure, the dynamics, the emotion and that incredible drum intro. I've been toying with the idea of doing something with it but was always scared to touch the song as it's loved by so many people. It seemed like the right time so I started work on my take on the song. I wanted to pay homage to it but make sure it had that classic OA sound and I'm really happy with how its turned out.”
The new single kickstarts the independent and unsigned band's new era. Following 3.5 million streams of debut LP, “Night Sky” (2017), OF ALLIES are back with a bang. Expect news on LP 2 shortly.
