Two years after “De Fragments”, Montreal post-rock/ shoegaze band Milanku returns with a mind-blowing fifth album. The latter, titled “Monument du non-être / Mouvement du non-vivant”, is indeed available to stream below!
Staying faithful to its approach, Milanku superimposes a dark, heavy and ragey sound to literary references. Among which one will notice Guy Debord’s Society of spectacle.
The now quintet has recently welcomed a third guitarist, Jean-François Bourbonnais, to swell its ranks. Qualified by many as their most refined album, “Monument du non-être / Mouvement du non-vivant” was recorded at Pantoum studio, in Quebec City. It marks a first collaboration with director Guillaume Chiasson (Ponctuation).
