Hello Crimson Pride. Thanks for your time! Would you mind introducing your band to our readers?
Hello Valentine, our band, Crimson Pride, can be described as a diverse blend of styles and influences. Since our formation in 2018, we have been evolving within a varied musical style ranging from rock to alternative metal. We incorporate elements of nu-metal, groove metal, and hard rock, drawing inspiration from bands such as Linkin Park, Billy Talent, Avenged Sevenfold, and Asking Alexandria. Our music appeals to both rock enthusiasts and metal fans. How would you describe your local music scene in Fribourg?
The rock/metal scene in Fribourg exists, but it's relatively small. In Switzerland in general, the rock/metal scene becomes saturated quickly, and it's not easy to secure gigs. Additionally, many venues tend to prioritize international bands, making it challenging to establish a presence. You revealed back in April 2023 your album “Bloom”. How long have you worked on this record?
We started our first studio session in 2020. The COVID situation slowed down the project, but it also allowed us to pay attention to the smallest details. We focused extensively on the vocals, investing the necessary time and energy into the project. We had multiple studio sessions and recorded the majority of the vocals in our own studio. For those who haven't heard it yet, what kind of songs can we expect and what's the best way to describe it?
"Bloom" is our first message, our first masterpiece. We poured our hearts and souls into it. The album is best experienced by listening to it in the order it was released, as it was designed that way. "Bloom" takes the listener on a journey through the darker aspects of one's existence, with a rapid descent in the early songs. Gradually, the darkness gives way to light, and the songs lead the listener to rise again and be reborn into something even more beautiful.Who's the artist behind the artwork of your album and what does the visual represent?
An independent artist created the album cover. It represents the duality that prevails in our album, with themes of shadow, light, death, and life.
