Chicago-based punk-rockers LURK have dropped two new tracks, “Pressure Points” and “Trample - Acoustic”. They're showcasing their electric and intoxicating punk influences while also highlighting a more indie-leaning side of the band through a new acoustic reimagining.
Speaking to new single “Pressure Points”, Vocalist Kevin Kiley shares. “It's a song about people's voracious nature in bringing up injustices without seeking change. The internet can be a great tool for discussion and information during difficult times like now. But I think it often turns into an echo chamber and the motivation becomes social acceptance. It's exhausting but there needs to be difficult conversations that seek change rather than hiding from contrasting viewpoints”.
“We also recorded an acoustic version of ‘Trample’ from our Hi-Fi EP,” he continues. “We hope you enjoy it and promise more music to come. Rock n Roll baby, peace and love”.
