Progressive rock project, Orissa, drops 'Resurrection'

Founded in 2010 by Dodini, a virtuoso singer, guitarist and bassist, who writes, arranges and performs all the parts on Orissa’s records. Founded with desire to explore inner creative space and create a distinctive, cathartic, deeply personal and therapeutic art. Dodini's own songwriting is fusing his classical training with his love for jazz and other ancient rhythmic traditions. The all translated into Dodini’s immersion into metal and progressive music, as the genres carry numerous parallels. Orissa released its debut EP, Omens, in 2012; on which Dodini plays all the instruments. The mixing was done by Stacey O’Dell and the mastering by Chris Muth of Taloowa. Orissa also launched two additional singles in 2013 as, The Musical Offering, in order to support a Kickstarter Campaign. In turn, the Kickstarter raised over $20K. Dodini's was indeed able to finance the upcoming album, Resurrection. The latter also features Dodini’s vocal and instrumental arrangements and performances as well as drummer Jason Gianni. In addition, Orissa plans on dropping new material from the new album soon. The band should also announce regional tour dates in anticipation of Resurrection. Stay tuned!
