Bristol-based alternative-rock trio, Oxygen Thief have shared a new single “Lost In The Post-”. This song is from the band's brand new album, “Confusion Species”, out via Xtra Mile Recordings.
Speaking on the new video, frontman Barry Dolan states:
“The idea came from binge-watching Black Mirror, thinking about how many venues are under threat of closure (like The Exchange itself, where we shot most of it). And how a lot of people do online shows now... What would happen if we all played/attended gigs in VR in the future?"Brooker's show would result in everyone getting horrifically injured, our director (Owain Paciuszko). And I didn't think that sounded like much fun, so we took a different approach.”
Lyrically, “Lost In The Post-” sees Dolan lean on the themes of trying to maintain your humanity, and mental wellbeing. While being bombarded by misinformation, propaganda and outright lies.
