Morose have recently unveiled their debut EP “Dead End”!

Hello, MOROSE! Thanks for taking time to answer a couple of questions for us. How are you guys doing? CJ: We are doing great, very anxious to get the release out there but other than that we are excited. How's the metalcore scene in St. Louis, MO? CJ: Our scene is wonderful. We have received a ton of love and support from our hometown and we couldn't be more grateful for that. You guys have just released your debut EP “Dead End”. Could you please let us know more about this release? CJ: Dead End was a really fun EP for us to record. We have all worked with one another in another project prior to Morose and we really took a step back and asked ourselves what we really wanted to be playing, and then we did it. It's a huge leap in terms of how we have evolved but it's one we couldn't be more happy with. How long have you worked on this record? CJ: We went into the studio for this EP in April and Chase had been working hard on all the demos for some months leading up to it. Which song is the one that, according to you, best represents the spirit of this EP? CJ: I think the title track Dead End wraps up the EP lyrically. The song is about feeling like you are at a dead end in life and songs like Stranger kind of go into why I personally was feeling that way at one point. I also think musically it sets the tone for the other songs. I’m sure you have at least one funny story from your recording sessions to share with us! Chase: There were a lot of funny moments in the studio with Josh. But at one point, he stopped tracking and beat our bass player one handed in street fighter and we were are blown away. Working with him was a lot of fun. You've also unveiled a music video for your song “Stranger”. How was the shooting experience? CJ: Shooting Stranger was a blast, working with JT Ibanez was a pleasure. By the end of that day, we were absolutely exhausted though because we filmed both Bury Me and Stranger in the same day. The last words are for you. If you have a message to convey, here's your chance! Chase: Thank you to anyone checking out our debut EP, and hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do. Thanks for talking with us!
