Introducing you to the Columbus rockers, A Decade Apart!

Hello, A Decade Apart! Thanks for taking time to answer a couple of questions for us. How are you guys doing? We are great! Just playing some great shows, Josh just had another kid and we are planning our fall/winter schedule!
You have recently unveiled your new EP, titled “Premonitions pt. 2”. For those who have missed it, what kind of songs can they expect on this record? You can expect catchy riffs with relatable lyrics. The beginning and end of the EP definitely convey the message differently, but you will have to listen to find out what that means.
-0DExfSiOWegHow long have you worked on it? We worked on Premonitions Part 2 for about 3 months in the studio.
Which song is the one that, according to you, best represents the spirit of this EP? Its tough. Track 3 “Wake Me Up” is a little more poppy but it is a good representation of A Decade Apart. Track 6 “I’ll Say Goodbye” is also a good representation of the EP.
I’m sure you have at least one funny story from your recording sessions to share with us! Usually, our recording sessions are pizza, beer and music. Probably the funniest thing from this EP was the constant joke and recording vocals in different voices (none of which made the final cut). Because of our busy schedules we were probably only in the studio as a full band 3 times.
You’ve also released, back in March 2019, a music video for “Impulse”. How was the shooting experience? That was a blast. We shot it in an extremely old barn loft. It was fun hauling equipment up there, hoping the floor doesn’t collapse and playing the same song 20 times. It was a fun experience and we look forward to many more.
Do you currently have any other projects in the making? We are currently writing. We are not sure what we are going to release or when but keep a lookout!
The last words are for you. If you have a message to convey, here’s your chance! We just want to thank everyone that has supported us for the last 3 ½ years. We couldn’t and wouldn’t keep doing what we are doing without everyone’s support.
People need to support their local musicians, attend shows and buy merch! There is good music out there, but too many people are afraid to support something new. You don’t have to spend $50+ on a ticket for it to be a good show!
