Hello Cold Lands, hope that you are doing good :) Thanks for your time! Would you mind introducing your band to our readers? Hello, I'm very fine, thank you for having time for me. I’m Alexandre MARTORANO, guitarist and lead vocalist in COLD LANDS. At the beginning, it was a band, but since 2017, it became a one-man project, but I’m still producing my music with that name. How did you come up with the name of your band? At this time, we were a band, and we were in a small lost town, in a place called "Les Terres Froides". It was difficult to find a good name but this one appeared like the best that we could find. You have recently released a new single and music video for “The Liars Prayer”. Would you mind introducing this release to our readers? What's the story behind this song? This song highlights the duality between a hostile outside world and an inner world in which sentimental and emotional authenticity subsists. A fight between the inner self and the reflection of the external self. This song is like an expulsion of very violent feelings that act like a poison in us, in a lost world and maltreated by the lie. How long have you actually worked on this song? How did you approach the writing process? I worked on this song, like all others song from the new album, approximately for two years. First, I have composed and recorded it in my home studio to have a first version that I could propose at the Studio. About the lyrics, like most of the time, I write them after the music. With Francesco Alessi, co-producer, we have re-recorded in Studio LE HANGAR 38 all the tracks. And also made all arrangements to produce the final song together. How was the shooting experience? I was looking for a director for this title who would be able to appropriate the project, and to have a real artistic video approach. Jeff Loch was able to fully respond to this project. It was very easy to work with him because he is someone decided, really invested, and very talented. The script was made entirely by him, and he knew how to completely transcribe what I wanted to do in this first song. The photo model and actress Karine Giandoreggio-Barranco aka "Anathéis" was also decisive in the emotional transcript of this title and it was a real pleasure to work with this team, talented artists. The cold, melancholy and dreamlike world that is so close to my heart has pointed Jeff on a black and white clip, I trusted him, and I do not regret it. It was a very rich experience and I would like to realize as soon as possible a new video music. We understood that an album will soon be out. Can you tell us more about it? « The Liars Prayer » represents the first musical color of an emotive panel in which the listener will be submerged in this new album, like a rainbow of feelings. We will release that during the year, as soon as we’ll find a partner to organize a good distribution. I’m very happy to offer this new musical experience to the listeners.
