Off The Light

Founded in early 2016, the band was born in Paris from the French-Italian friendship between Emanuele and Guillaume, respectively drummer and guitarist. The two artists, though sharing the same musical influences, have a different musical background: jazz school for one, several rock bands for the other. However, their common influences, leads them to start writing some vigorous yet subtle alternative rock music. Adrien, a bass player, who gained experience from his familial rock cover band named High Side, quickly joins the duet. After a few weeks of instrumental writing, the band finds its missing piece, embodied by Kevin’s crystal-clear voice and writing, shortly praised by his bandmates.
It is not long before the newly formed band names itself Off The Light and tackles writing. Alternative rock packed with heavy riffs, the band provides a strong and richly nuanced dynamic universe. Thanks to the wide influences of the four musicians, the band has the ability to mix a variety of rock genres by remaining committed to two key-factors: melody and emotion.
In December 2016, Off The Light performs for the first time ever at Le Backstage (O’Sullivan by The Mill) as part of the “Emergenza” battle of the bands. They made it to the semifinals at Le New Morning after an outstanding performance at Le Batofar, then playing venues all across Paris like La Féline (20th District) or Le Supersonic (12th District), as the opening act of Canadian rockers from The Glorious Sons.
After a recording session at Le Studio du Poisson Barbu with acclaimed sound engineer Léonard Mule (Wax Tailor, Keziah Jones, Charlie Winston...), the band releases its debut EP entitled “Aube” on December 5th. It is available worldwide on all streaming services and digital platforms!
The EP’s Release Party will take place on 30th January 2020 at L’Alimentation Générale in Paris, booked by BW Production.
