Imperial was formed in Uppsala, Sweden, back in 1994. The maturity and depth of the band first began to show in their debut effort ”The Final Chapter” which was recorded in September 95. This demo which received excellent response was to set the stage for things to come.
In August 1996, Imperial Domain recorded their second demo ”In The Ashes Of The Fallen”. The demo received rave reviews in magazines throughout the world and even qualified among the Top Swedish demo of 1996 by Close Up, the undisputed No. 1 magazine for extreme music in Scandinavia.
No small feat if you consider the vast amount of demos released every year.
Following the success of their demo, Imperial Domain signed a two album deal with Pulverized Records in June 1997 to record their debut album also entitled ”In The Ashes Of The Fallen” in Sunlight Studios
The second album entitled ”The Ordeal” was recorded in Oktober-November 2000 in Prime Studios. The album contains a more refined sound with a finer arrangement than before.
Both albums received great reviews around the world and the band continued to play until 2005.
From that time the band members continued to play in other constellations until they decided to start up the band again in 2014.
Imperial Domain are currently recording fresh material with a new vocalist.
They brought the classic ”Imperial Domain” sound but with a brilliant modern touch.
The artwork and logos have been reworked by the excellent Pete Alander (Yngwie Malmsteen, KK Downing, Sandalinas, etc).
