We are The Forgotten Age, and we will be remembered! Formed in Bangor, North Wales, The Forgotten Age is an Alternative/Metalcore band that combines punchy Metalcore riffs with strong melody and powerful vocals. The band take inspiration from a wide variety of influences and subgenres, such as guitar work from Bullet For My Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold, melodic aspects of Sonata Arctica and Avantasia, and even more progressive elements from artists such as Gazette and Coheed and Cambria, creating a unique take on a familiar sound.
Since the band's conception in February 2014, they have recorded and released two singles and two four track EPs. Their first single, and video “Undone”, was self-released in February 2016, reaching over 7000 views in its first few months of release. It was featured on the debut EP “Enough” in March 2017, following the band's first ever UK tour with “As Flames Rise” in November 2016. The latest EP “Paradigm” was completed in August 2017, and released with its lead single “Relent”, complete with music video, with promotion group Domino PR in April 2018.
The current line up consists of three full time members, Mike Bassington (vocals and guitar), Ben Jones (Guitar), and Alex Wynne (Bass and additional vocals), but the group was originally formed with five members. Mike took over as the band's second guitarst, after original guitarist Tamara Jordan left the band in June 2015 to pursue an alternative career. The band's first drummer Marc Dawson, left the band in September 2014 to be replaced by Joseph Young, who appears on both the EP releases. In October 2017, Joseph resigned as a full time member due to personal commitments, and now performs only occasional session work with the group. The band is currently seeking a new full time drummer to join the band.
