A Dog Named Bob drop second EP “Malicious Compliance”

“Malicious Compliance” is the second release by A Dog Named Bob. The EP opens with the anthemic “Two Weeks Notice”. This song features powerful gang vocals, fast riffs and a frustrated character venting about a job they hate. A Dog Named Bob’s sharp tongue comes back halfway through the EP in the short but to-the-point “Is It OK To Punch A Nazi In The Face?”. Spoilers, the answer is yes. This kind of rebellious satire is a constant theme through the EP. In “Going To Space With Tom DeLonge”, the band sings about skeptically trusting the former blink-182 frontman and embarking on a space adventure to find alien life. The lead single “Stayin’ Home Tonight” and “Platonic” are the lighter cuts of the album. They indeed offer relatable lyrics about ditching your friends and sudden infatuation. These come with a healthy dosage of catchy hooks and off-the-cuff sarcasm.
